REPORTS TO: Digital Community Manager, Account Director, Digital Strategy Manager

SUMMARY: Tra-digital advertising and marketing boutique agency in Dallas is seeking a well-rounded entrepreneurial Social Media Specialist Assistant for a part-time contract position based in Quebec. Candidate must be bilingual in French and English and have a vast understanding of the Quebec dialect and culture. While the position is Canada based, this person will also have day-to-day contact with coworkers in Dallas, Texas. This person must be able to provide excellent client service to primarily retail properties in Canada all while having fun! Experience working in the social media field is a must. The qualified candidate will be responsible for content management, analyzing digital channel activity, creating client performance reports, and managing social media campaigns. Clients may vary over time but mainly include shopping centers in Quebec.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as an extension of the account services team by assisting the social media managers with day-to-day content & community management responsibilities

  • Write high quality, timely digital media content for clients such as Facebook posts, Instagram posts, Twitter posts, email copy, SMS messages, etc., again in both French and English 

  • Schedule, boost and monitor all digital media content for clients

  • Work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines

  • Maintain a deep knowledge of social media channels and related tools/apps

  • Maintain a deep knowledge of paid advertising on social media channels

  • Answer client trouble-shooting questions

  • Engaging in brainstorming sessions

  • Conducting preliminary research for marketing presentations

  • Develop and maintain marketing calendar for social media clients 

  • Help with other digital content & blog posts

  • General account support like planning meeting preparation, authoring research decks, etc.

  • Partner with team to ensure digital media plans are seamlessly integrated with the rest of the marketing plans

  • Assist with creative development process to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget

  • Identify and communicate new trends and industry best-practices internally

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • College diploma (CEGEP) or higher – preferably in marketing, fashion marketing, business

  • Management or a related field.

  • Must live in Quebec, and be fluent in French and English

  • Must have strong time- and people-management skills

  • Working knowledge of the social media industry including channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.

  • Passion for growing and using social media channels 

  • Superb communication and grammatical skills

  • Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week

  • Working knowledge of the social media industry including channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Foursquare, YouTube, Tumblr, Snapchat etc.

  • Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and work-hard/play-hard mentality


BENEFITS:  

Salary based on experience.

This position will be based in Quebec and primarily work from home. Employee may need to visit clients for capturing content, developing customer relations & providing over customer support, etc. The timing and frequency of these content visits will vary based on client needs. However, it should not exceed more than one day per week. 

Additional meetings in-person and/or travel to the United States will be scheduled as needed as part of the regular course of business, including but not limited to things such as photoshoots, conferences, creative brainstorms, and/or client presentations. Travel to the United States should not exceed more than 6 times per year.

Synchronous working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm CST unless otherwise arranged in advance with management.
